My Home Through My Eyes: The Night a Dream Became Real

October 12, 2026, at 7 PM. A night I will never forget.

Some dreams are born in your heart long before the world is ready to believe in them.

Last night, at 7 PM, I sat in front of my computer, opened a Zoom call, and did something that, for a long time, seemed almost impossible. I officially introduced my very first WineSlayer tour to Italy: My Home Through My Eyes.

And as I spoke about it, shared the plans, and finally revealed something I had been carrying inside me for so long, I couldn't help but think about everything it took to get there.

Because this was never just about creating a tour.

It was about sharing a piece of myself.

A dream that refused to stay a dream

When I first imagined this project, I had a simple but deeply personal idea: What if I could bring people to the Italy I know? Not just the Italy you see on postcards, not just the famous destinations everyone photographs, but the Italy that lives in my heart. The Italy of family traditions, hidden corners, long lunches, unforgettable wines, generous people, and moments that stay with you long after you return home.

My Italy. My home.

Not everyone believed it could happen. Some couldn't quite understand how I could turn such a personal vision into a real experience. And honestly, there were moments when I wondered the same thing myself.

Because dreaming is beautiful. Making a dream happen is a completely different story.

There were hurdles, setbacks, endless details to figure out, connections to build, conversations to have, and doors I had to find a way to open. There were moments when things didn't go as planned, when the road felt longer than I expected, and when I had to step back, rethink, and find another way forward.

But I kept going.

Not because it was easy, but because every time I thought about what this tour could mean, I remembered why I started.

I wasn't trying to create just another trip to Italy. I wanted to create something that felt real. Something personal. Something that would allow people to experience my homeland not simply as visitors, but through the eyes of someone who carries it with him every single day.

And that was worth fighting for.

The moment everything changed

Then came last night.

October 12, 2026. Seven o'clock in the evening.

A date and a time that might look ordinary on a calendar, but that will always mean something special to me.

After all the planning, the uncertainty, the hard work, the excitement, and the moments of doubt, I finally got to share it. The idea was no longer just something in my head. It wasn't a conversation, a rough plan, or a dream I was still trying to figure out.

It was real. I had done it.

And there is something incredibly emotional about reaching a moment like that. Not just because you have accomplished something, but because you remember every version of yourself that brought you there. The person who first imagined it. The person who wondered whether it was possible. The person who kept pushing when things became difficult.

Last night, all those moments came together.

I wasn't simply presenting an itinerary. I was opening a door to my world and inviting people to step inside.

Every place, every experience, every glass of wine, every meal, and every connection is part of a story that means something to me. And the thought that I might soon get to share those moments with people who choose to experience them alongside me fills me with a kind of happiness that is difficult to put into words.

Because when you share your home with someone, you aren't just showing them a place.

You're sharing your memories. Your roots. Your traditions. A little piece of your soul.

More than a tour. A piece of me.

I don't know if everyone will fully understand what this project means to me. Perhaps you have to build something from nothing, fight for an idea others don't quite see, or carry a dream across an ocean to understand that feeling.

But I know this: last night, I took a dream that once seemed so far away and brought it one step closer to the people who might become part of its story.

And for that, I am incredibly grateful.

Grateful for the opportunity. Grateful for everyone who has encouraged me. Grateful for every person who listened, believed, helped, connected, or simply gave me a reason to keep going.

Most of all, I am grateful that I get to do something I genuinely love: share Italian wine, Italian culture, and the beauty of where I come from with people who are willing to discover it with me.

My Home Through My Eyes was born from a simple idea, but it carries a very big piece of my heart.

And last night, that heart found its voice.

This is only the beginning. There are still experiences to live, memories to make, glasses to raise, stories to tell, and moments waiting to happen.

But now, for the first time, I can look at this dream and say that it is no longer just mine.

It is something I can share.

And I cannot wait to welcome you into my home, through my eyes.

Because lots of tours take you to Italy. I want to show you what Italy means to me.

Benvenuti a casa mia. Welcome to my home.
